Welcome
Calm Seas Family Services is a new therapy provider serving the Charlotte area. We are focused on a holistic approach to the person and family. We work with psychological problems, health problems, social problems, and with spiritual challenges. Work on just one of these issues at a time and it is like changing just one tire on your car; you will still get a flat. Many families find it difficult to cope with today’s stresses and demands resulting in anxiety, behavior problems, depression, and chronic conflict. Calm Seas is devoted to helping families create new ways of interacting resulting in more calm and stable relationships.
Calms Seas is also focusing on health related issues that people face. Did you know that therapy can help people live healthier lives? Therapy has been shown to assist people with many different healthcare issues such as diabetes and weight loss. For others the stress of a healthcare diagnosis such as cancer or Alzheimer’s disease can throw a person into a great time of stress. This stress can then affect the entire family. Through individual and family work, improvements in individual and family mental health can be seen.
About Me
Vincent Hughes
M.A. / LMFT
I have provided therapy to individuals and families since 1998. I received my education at the University of Minnesota with a B.A. in psychology and a M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. I have worked with individuals in psychiatric hospitals and in their homes, from mild anxiety to extreme self-harming behaviors. Whichever challenges that you and your loved ones are facing, they can be confident in a competent and caring helper in the process of recovery.
I self identify as a Christian but do not fear, I have successfully worked with people of many different faiths, including individuals with no religious affiliation.
